I received a grant to help with wildlife and reforestation, and I hate money sitting in an account when people need the help today. I'd been planning on doing something with Chris Morgan in the Pacific Northwest, so instead of these organizations waiting for my shoulders to heal, I decided to send my contribution early - with the agreement that I'd join them as soon as I can.
It's much better to fund them now, rather than make them wait on me!
LOCATION: Pacific Northwest, Kenya, Uganda, Peru
FOCUS: Wildlife, Rainforests, Children's Education
LOCAL PARTNERS: Chris Morgan Wildlife, Home Range Wildlife Research, The Wolf Ranger, Jungle Keepers, etc.
TOTAL DONATED SO FAR: $25,000+
VOLUNTEER/CHARITY SUMMARY:
I recieved a grant for wildlife conservation and awareness, and pre-funded a few groups I love in the Pacific Northwest.

I can't wait to get back on the road to meet up with my old friend Chris Morgan, and finally see some bears with him. I also plan to get on a horse with Daniel Curry to learn about wolves, and then meet with Home Range Research and learn about their work. Plans like this keep me going when I'm stuck at home with a couple of bum shoulders!
In the meantime - listen to The Wild - Chris Morgan's Podcast. It's a meditation of sorts, and this man has inspired me for nearly 20 years!

I was also able to send some initial funding back to my old partners in Africa, Anthony Ayebare in Uganda, and Emmanuel Tesoro in Kenya, as well as a small donation to Jungle Keepers for the rainforests.
Will get back on the road soon, and will do my best to try and expand that work!
